Altar Servers

Altar Serving Training

In the body of Christ there exist a wonderful variety of ministries, which are especially evident when we gather around the altar to worship God.

Altar Servers are called to assist the priest and deacon, and in a very special way, providing unique witness by their participation in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

All boys and girls that are in 4th grade through high school are invited to participate as Altar Servers.

We are very proud of our Altar Servers. They bring the vibrant youthful face of our faith to liturgies. They have served with Priests and Bishops, including our Cardinal Archbishop. They have consistently demonstrated efficiency, dedication and love of the liturgy. They are all ages.

Altar Server Camp

ALTAR SERVER CAMP: Monday and Tuesday, June 20th & 21st, 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Open to all students from 4th grade (finishing 4th grade in June) through high school. We'll teach you how to ring bells, carry candles, present the sacred vessels and the Sacramentary. You'll learn the correct name for everything. This is an awesome opportunity to serve God and your parish. There will be experienced altar servers to help you and a meal will follow.
